A potluck favorite from Florence Burkley

Ingredients
2 envelopes plain gelatin
3 envelopes Dream Whip
1 cup pineapple juice
1 cup crushed pineapple
1 cup sugar
1 cup boiling water
Cold milk
1/2 tsp salt
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 angel food cake
1/2 cup walnuts (optional)
1/2 cup maraschino cherries (optional)
Preparation
Step 1
Disolve 2 envelopes plain jelatin in 4 tbsp cold water. Add boiling water, pineapple juice, crushed pineapple, sugar, salt, and lemon juice. Let partially set.
Step 2
Prepare Dream Whip by following instructions on package.
Step 3
Fold in 1/2 prepared Dream Whip into jelatin mix.
Step 4
Line large bowl with wax paper.
Step 5
Break angel food cake into bite-size pieces.
Step 6
Alternate layers of cake and jelatin mix. Start with jelatin.
Step 7
Refrigerate until firmly set
Step 8
Remove from mold and frost with remaining Dream Whip
Step 9
Decorate with walnuts and maraschino cherries, cut into small pieces (optional)
